[TL;DR: I'm Back & Cleaning Up This Blog So I Stay This Time]

|ʘ‿ʘ)╯ After figuring out that I'm very very very bad at keeping up with multiple blogs, what I actually use blogs for, and near every site only getting worse... I'm re-starting my blog here for real this time I swear!!

Will Mostly Post: Rec Lists & Fanart!

• The ability to reblog art & meta has truly spoiled me. Since I can't do that here, the next best thing is compiling Rec Lists of Stuff I Like / Want to Save (have so many bookmarks, I could post lists for years tbh why didn't I realize this before??) & I'd still love to discuss interests, ofc.
• I've been hesitant to post my fan art here because I need a good image hosting site to do that. (Squidge Images? File Garden? Hoping Tumblr stays up to host images there?) Please, recommendations if you got any?

How've you been? Are you split between blogging platforms, too, or mainly on DW?

oh hey! same hat same hat!
tbh what keeps me from being more active here is the work you have to put into finding people 😅 i'm already shy and have niche interests, but dw seems to exacerbate this issue tenfold haha

i'm crossposting images from tumblr without any issues so far, or has there been any recent news that's cause for worry? 😮 i stopped using twitter this year, so now i never hear when something happens...

I was shy coming back here the first time, too, but I'm a bit more daring now lol :'D gathering a bunch of communities & journals to follow. I'll drop a comm rec list some time, but I've been scrolling through followfriday & vriddy's Community Thursdays tag.

Good to know! I was just feeling bitter about that "eventually going to be run by a skeleton crew" thing. If tumblr goes down the drain, it won't be for a long time yet ^^"
& good on you for dropping twitter, seriously :/ I want to, but there's two twitter-exclusive blogs I love that have kept me there...

Oh, so it's just that? Tbh I don't quite understand the fuss bc it didn't feel like the yahoo folks did much more than that. Though I gotta say I'm quite upset that the WP folks ruined a lot of what I enjoyed about tumblr UI and blog-wise only to drop it right after 🙄 hate that it requires log-in now

not really, I lost most of my friends in the process. run them through nitter and add the RSS to DW, problem solved :P

Yeah. I remember how LiveJournal went down and I'm just sad that's probably gonna happen to tumblr, too... the site I went to escape LJ's demise lol QuQ It's been a long time coming, with all the different owners and their terrible changes, though.

I mean the porn ban didn't kill tumblr, so why would it now? 😅 my dashbord looks as lively as ever
